Injurious lack of support for alternatives...

Here is some food for thought.

Now I already know some responses will be with everything negative or why it will not work. Well let me ask you this...
Additionally, I can already hear the corn argument about how it takes away from the dinner table..and you know what you are right. But we could easily use switchgrass. If you do not know much about switchgrass, I would highly encourage you do to some research on it.

Have you found the perfect plan? I did not think so. Why? Because "the perfect plan" does not exist. Now let us stop arguing and being part of th problem and let us begin to be part of the solution as a few of the regulars to this thread are and have been doing for quite some time now. I also want to know how many of you that will read this have ever contacted your congressman?

In the meantime we continue to send this nations riches to other countries and be their slave (in a sense of the word).

Did you know that Henry Ford's Model T (1908 - 1927) was the first flex fuel vehicle ever produced? The carburetor was specially designed so that the settings could be adjusted so the engine could run on either alcohol or gasoline. Why did this stop in 1927? Because of cheaper alternatives (oil and gas). Well, that is no longer the case.

Our government needs to have funding and subsidies put into place to assist the research and development of these alternatives. (Not to mention education which would have a positive lasting impact on everything in this nation over time.)

WOAH! I will step off my soapbox for now. This post will likely confuse some anyway the way I jumped around. But the brain works exponentially faster than my fingers.

P.S. - Not sure where this all came from...lol

Defying nepotism...

no need to show favoritism when it has not been earned. Often times it could simply be the result of a miscommunication or even a language barrier. At times things could even be purified  unintentionally which would create an avenue for great untapped resources for which are stumbled across by pure accident. Now you may ask what this post is about or what it means...
Hell I do not know!

Antiquated joy...oxymoron? Absolutely!

I often times hear friends, family, colleagues, etc. all complaining about how bad life is and that "back in the day" they were happy. I used to have this same mindset. But, is it not true that we are the only ones that have the power to choose our attitude and emotions? We are in control whether you realize it or not. We can not continue to blame our poor management, or the abusive ex, or even the idiot on the road in front of us. WE...I repeat WE choose how we react to every situation in life. Am I sitting here telling you that it is easy? HELL NO! It is one of the most difficult things in life. That is why you will hear individuals say suicide is the easy way out...living is the hard part. Life is meant to be a challenge. If we we are not challenged on a daily basis would we not become stagnant in our development?
So joy, happiness, and all other goodness is ours to have. It is a fact that we may experience trials and tribulations in life...we may wind up homeless or unemployed and have to sell off everything we own. But you know what? You would still be alive. So instead of sulking and being depressed about our situation we need to be proactive in how we are going to pull ourselves out of it.

I would love to continue but I must get ready for work. I hope you all have blessed day!

Accomplished...

well today was a good day. I slept in then went to my favorite Starbucks for my morning coffee. I then went to work on a day off for some overtime! YEAH! When I left work I came home changed and went to my home gym and got a great workout in. When returning home I then called plenty of places which I needed to handle some financial business. I am trying to get everything lined up to begin paying down some debt while saving as much as possible. I would like to have some money for when I go meet my son for the first time next month! I also now intend to move back to California as soon as possible; which will also require some financial miracles.
Regardless of it all I got a lot done and feel very accomplished!

Boredom...

Well I have been neglecting my LJ so I found this:

The rules are: Once you have been tagged, you must write a blog with ten weird, random things, little known facts and odd habits about yourself. At the end you'll choose ten people to be tagged. List their names and why you chose them. Don't forget to leave a comment that says "you are tagged" and tell them to read your latest blog.

My List:

1. Every job I have ever had I show up early (95% o the time, and I never take extended breaks or lunches) I am the nerdy guy that co-workers love to hate...lol.

2. I love to put Sriracha Chili Sauce on just about anything! Jalapeños are good in just about any dish as well....I LOVE ME SOME SPICY!

3. From the ages of three to fifteen I spent most of my summers baling hay, milking cows, plowing fields, collecting eggs, feeding the livestock, etc. Yes I was raised a "good ol' boy" LOL

4. I also played several instruments from the age of twelve years old and on...I started with Piano, then Cornet, then Viola, then Guitar, then Bass Guitar, then some drums. I sat first chair most weeks in both band and orchestra. I wish I still had some instruments whereas I can honestly say I was musically gifted at that time in my life.

5. (When I can afford it) I get manicures and pedicures. LOL I hope any male friends of mine do not pull my man card...if they have not already done so....LMAO

6. WARNING:! YOU MAY NOT WANT TO READ THIS ONE!!! I pee in the shower...lol I know it is not that bad; but I also know that this is a BIG no no to many people. But I figure I am saving the 2.2 gallons (1.7 gallons per flush after filling the empty half gallon milk jug and putting it in the toilet tank) per flush since I am already in the shower cleansing myself! It is environmentally friendly.

7. When I was thirteen years old I went to Peru for five weeks to do missionary work.

8. While I was in Peru I got to visit Machu Pichu which is the old Inca ruins! (One of these days I will finally scan the pictures and get them online.)

9. Until right before moving back to Texas earlier this year, I still had every electrical cord, adapter, etc. I had ever obtained. I finally went through and reduced my collection and organized it when packing for my move.

10. I used to participate in the rodeo when I was younger and actually had a cowboy hat, ironed jeans, and a big belt buckle! For bloggers...probably like so what? For anyone that knows me in real life...well they probably do not even believe half the things I wrote in this post. But they are ALL FACTUAL and about me.

As you can see no one is tagged. I do not feel the urge to try to get someone to list a bunch of things they would prefer not to...lol

FLDS cult...breeding pedophilia?

I have previously avoided anything othe than having to do something directly related to my personal life but...

I read today about the FLDS cult and the 53 children taken from their mothers. Yes the mothers that are trying to get sympathy from the world that their children were taken from them! Well, it turns out that 31 of the 53 (for those mathematically challenged that is almost 60%) are pregnant or already have children! WTF?!?! Are you kidding me?

I realize that these people are not exposed to the outside world...but they know the laws. This is all crazy!

OK that is all!

Anti-sedentary...

Many of you know since I moved back to Texas that I have been quite active. But, now I lie here in bed this evening happy to have finally got a job (since I seem to be cyber-schizophrenic you will have to check out my other blog for more info...lol)  I am in an immense amount of pain. In my attempt to get my life going back in the direction I was headed two to three years ago I have gotten highly involved in cardio (at the gym in the morning), yoga several times a week, my new found love of rock climbing, volleyball, tennis, etc. Oh! But the pain....it comes from my new found Sunday game of football. Four Sundays in a row now....and every Monday I am immobilized...lol. I strained my left quadriceps three weeks ago. It is always feeling better by the following Sunday so of course I go back out and play again. Dumb move. Then last Sunday (not yesterday) we played at the local college. Well the campus does not have a field; not a football field (or even sports field for that matter) but a barren field of hard packed clay and random prickly weeds. So with me thinking I am some super athlete I run and dive and smash my right knee on this wonderfully hard packed clay. I still feel the pain and that was well over a week ago.

Many of you may ask why I continue to play such a violent sport if it cause me such pain.

Well...it is flag football...LMAO

Nostalgia ...

There are many different definitions to the aforementioned word used in the title of this post. I am opting to go with the one that has to do with having a positive feeling in reference to a previous time in your life. That current state of nostalgia for me would be the days when I had a job...lol.

As much am I am enjoying the time I have had to work on getting myself back to a state of good physical health; I repine the additional time that I have on my hands as it is getting to be a bit much. However, I realize that I have to be patient and that the right job will come along. Besides to be realistic, I have only been looking for work for about two weeks...LMAO. The best news of all is that I have been successful in not smoking ( I have cheated a couple of times when drinking...but I rationalize that to acceptance...lol), I am also feeling better physically than I have in well over a year. My back is feeling better than it has in several months as well. I have not had a migraine in a couple of months either!

Random juxtaposition...

just yet another random thought that I had as I was recently driving on my extended road trip to move back to Texas from Virginia...where I had spent the last 18 months of my life. We can spend billions of dollars on the war yet a much lesser amount is spent on trying to lower emissions and become a more "green" nation. (Let it be known that I am not one who believes that is a feasible to simply pull all of our troops out at this point...lol) I think that one idea (that would cost a pretty penny) would be to build a mass transit system upgrading our traditional railroad system. It would be run on solar power and used to transport goods as opposed to all of the tractor trailers that are currently on the roadways clogging traffic, obstructing distant views of would be "defensive drivers", pumping out incredibly large amounts of emissions, etc. ( I could go on and on as to the damage being done on an hourly basis by our current transport system. Now I know if any truckers happen to stumble across this post, they will be saying, "HEY! What about my job?" Well I think it should be mandatory that existing trucking companies buy in and partake in this transformation and guarantee all truckers new jobs at these stations with training included. If they choose to not accept the new job then that would fall on them. Sure this would all costs millions and/or billions of dollars to design, implement, and get off the ground...but can we truly put a price on cleaning up the environment? Besides imagine all of the added free space on the freeway system for idiotic drivers! I personally see this as a win-win for everyone...of course that is only my opinion and something thought up while on a long road trip with no one to talk to...lol.

Well enough of me on my soapbox this early on a Saturday while I am sure many of my friends are still in a state of REM. I sincerely hope that you all enjoy your weekend!

Get a grip!

Woohooo! I went rock climbing earlier today and boy am I already sore...lol. However, they were good times; I spent about an hour climbing up miscellaneous walls. I would have loved to have spent more time there but after a few trips (five and one-half...lol) up the walls my forearms and grip were not willing to spend more time doing so...lol. I hope to buildup more endurance over time and will focus on strengthening my forearms and gripping muscles in order to increase my endurance on those areas. I have some more exercises to do for today and then I will spend some time resting....ahhh relaxation. I hope that everyone else is having as wonderful a Friday as I am! Until next time "Get a grip" LOL

In the beginning...

well I have been reading my friend Amanda's LJ journal for a very long time now and just found another to indulge upon today. Thus U have decided that I will finally begin to post in mine...lol. I could be mistaken but Amber may be the only person that even knows that I am on LJ. Due to the aforementioned I would bet that I could potentially be writing this for me, myself, and I...lol.

For those of you that do not know me...lol...sorry I am literally laughing out loud because I find this ridiculous, but I will continue. OK for those that do not know me I was born and raise din TX, moved to OK for four years, then back to TX, then to CA....from there I went to VA and I am now back in TX in the Dallas/Fort worth area. I have been to or driven through all southern states with exception to North and South Carolina. I had intended to drive through them when moving back to TX earlier this month but decided I wanted to take the shortest/fastest route.

Since moving back here I have began to establish good habits and stop bad ones. I have quit smoking, in comparison with the last decade of my life I pretty much quit drinking...lol, I am riding my bike, doing yoga several times a week, easing my way back into kick-boxing, strength training, and will be beginning rock climbing starting tomorrow. In just the last two weeks I have seen dramatic results and feel much better than I have in two to three years.

Well that is all for now, it will take some getting used to in writing a blog (or LJ journal whatever you want to call it) without having this feeling of being narcissistic...lol. I need to get back to job hunting and sending out my resume anyway!
